If TrapCall isn’t unmasking your blocked or private calls, don’t worry—we're here to help you figure out why and how to fix it.
👉 Calls Before Activation Can’t Be Unmasked
TrapCall can only unmask calls that are forwarded to our servers while they’re ringing. This means:
-
We cannot unmask any calls you received before you activated TrapCall
-
TrapCall needs to intercept the call in real-time to work its magic
👉 You Must Decline the Call
To unmask a blocked, private, or no caller ID call, you must decline the call (reject it while it’s ringing). Here’s why:
-
If you answer the call or if the caller hangs up too quickly, the call will not be forwarded to TrapCall, and we will not be able to unmask it
-
On iPhones, if the screen is locked, double-tap the side button to decline a call
👉 Make Sure These Settings Are Correct
If you’re still having trouble, double-check the following:
-
Silence Unknown Callers should be OFF
Go to Settings > Phone > Silence Unknown Callers and turn it off. This feature can prevent calls from ringing and block them before TrapCall sees them. -
TrapCall needs to be properly programmed
Sometimes phones lose their call forwarding setup due to software updates, SIM changes, or switching carriers. Reprogram TrapCall on your phone using these steps. -
Try a fresh install
-
Delete the TrapCall app
-
Reboot your phone
-
Reinstall the app from the App Store or Play Store
-
