TrapCall’s Spam Protection helps keep your phone spam-free by identifying and blocking unwanted calls. Here’s what you need to know:
👉 How does Spam Protection work?
TrapCall will automatically block:
- Known Spam Calls
- Telemarketing Calls
- Robocalls
When a Spam Call is blocked:
- The caller hears a message saying your number is no longer in service
- The call is disconnected
You’ll see these calls labeled as Spam in the app.
TrapCall also blocks any numbers you’ve added to your personal Block List.
👉 How to enable Spam Call Blocking
- Install the TrapCall app
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap Phone > Call Blocking & Identification
- Toggle the switch next to TrapCall so it turns green
Note: The Call Blocking & Identification screen may take a few seconds to load, especially if other call-filtering apps are installed.
👉 Why did I get a Spam Alert?
Whenever TrapCall blocks a Spam Call, you’ll get an alert. Alerts can be sent as:
- Push notifications
- SMS messages
- Emails
To adjust your alert preferences, update your settings inside the app.
👉 Why did TrapCall mark my call as Spam?
TrapCall uses a Global Spam List that flags numbers reported as spam, regularly updated to stay accurate.
- Think a call was marked by mistake?
- Add the number to your Allow List to make sure it’s not blocked in the future
- Learn how to add numbers to your Allow List

Declining a call is a key step in letting TrapCall work its magic to unmask hidden callers.
- If your iPhone is unlocked, tap the red Decline button
- If your iPhone is locked, double-press the side (or top) power button to decline the call
