This number is assigned by TrapCall when you receive a call that was unable to be unmasked. This can happen if the call is being routed through the internet, such as a web based phone or VOIP service, or wifi calling. Unfortunately, these calls don't have a caller ID and can't be unmasked.
We recommend adding (229) 518 - 6462 to your TrapCall blacklist. Anytime a call cannot be unmasked, and this number is identified, the caller will hear "the number you have dialed has been disconnected, or is no longer in service". This may either direct the caller to call back with a blocked caller ID from a different phone, which will more than likely be unmasked, or discourage them from continuing to call.
You can also enable Privacy Lock if you have a Premium or Ultimate subscription. When this feature is turned on, unknown callers you reject are asked to record their name before the call is connected. When the call rings back to you, we'll play their recorded name and give you the chance to accept, hang up, or send the call to voicemail.
